I’m not usually interested to work on full CG or animated features, but I had a checkbox on my to-do list: working on a crazy “Blur-like” photo-realistic full CG videogames cinematic. Also I never played any Final Fantasy videogames… But when I found out that I was going to work on a new FF movie obviously I was excited. I remembered the quality of the previous FF full CG movies, getting to work on such a big license that so many fans in the world have been waiting for more than 10 years and whose development has been kept confidential until very late in the production, is so thrilling!
My work on this project mostly focused on building the city of insomnia and managing its layout through +350 shots, as well as additional tasks in FX, Compositing and Digital Matte Painting near the end of the project.
